Q: I would be traveling to Guangzhou, Foshan, Shenzhen for the first time for a business trip. I will be visiting offices in Foshan, Guangzhou & Shenzhen. Please tell me the distance between the three cities and most convinient way to get there once I land in Guangzhou and how sholu I plan my trip to make more time efficient?

The three cities, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Foshan are fairly close to one another, especially Guangzhou and Foshan. Shenzhen is approximately 170 km southeast of Guangzhou. It is right across border from Hong Kong, which is about 40 minutes or so farther south. In case it matters to you, there are more international flights to Hong Kong than to Guangzhou. There is also an international airport outside Shenzhen. You can travel from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and from Shenzhen to Guangzhou by train or coach.

On the other hand, given the closeness of the three cities, where you arrive or stay does not matter all that much. Foshan is about 30 km southwest of Guangzhou. What's with the recent development, Foshan and Guangzhou is merging into one spread-out metropolis. So you can travel from Guangzhou to Foshan rather quickly, by coach, train or even taxi. Wherever you choose to stay, any of the three cities can be reached in two hours or so.

Do keep in mind that Hong Kong and Mainland China have different visa requirements.
