Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing

Bird's Nest is the main stadium for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. It is part of the Olympic Park and Greens in Beijing. Officially named "Beijing National Staduim," Bird's Nest was designed by the Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron and was constructed from 2003 to 2008. Featuring steel beams all round the outside of the stadium, this is the largest steel structure in the world. The stadium could seat 91,000 people.
