Jinmao Tower in Shanghai
Jinmao Tower is located in Pudong, a new business district west of the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Standing at the height of 420.5 m or 1,379.6 ft, Jinmao Tower is the second tallest building in China's largest city. Constructed in the late 1990s, the skyscraper provides office, accommodation and shopping spaces. The offices are located on the 3rd through 50th floor, where over 10,000 office workers are based. Occupying the floors from 53rd through 87th is Grand Hyatt Shanghai. Along with the sister hotel Park Hyatt Shanghai located in the adjacent Shanghai World Financial Center, Grand Hyatt is one of the two highest hotels in the world. The 88th floor of Jinmao Tower is a viewing platform, where 1,000 visitors can take a bird's view of Shanghai all at once. Jinmao can be easily accessed by subway line number 2. It is also connected to the Bund with a under-river tunnel.
