New Flight Service between Fuzhou and New York to Be Launched in November
Starting late November this year travelers in Fuzhou, China, will be able to board a Boeing 777 at the city's airport and fly to New York. China's Eastern Airlines will be the carrier of the new air service.
Located on the southern coast of China, Fuzhou is the capital city of Fujian Province. The city and the province are known for large numbers of overseas Chinese who reside in North America. The new service will make it easier for these Chinese and their relatives, along with other travelers, to go back and forth across the Pacific. The new flight services does come with a stopover at the Pudong Airport in Shanghai, but it is better than making a flight connection.
Currently Fuzhou has air links to eight foreign cities, including Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul, Siem Reap (Cambodia), Jakarta, and Bangkok. There are also flights to Hong Kong, Macau, and various destinations in Taiwan.
