As of early 2014, the following major Chinese cities offer a bicycle-renting program as part of  their public transportation systems. Under such a system, one can rent a bicycle at one servie spot, ride to another part of the city, and return the bike at a service spot nearby.

Example rental-fee structure:

Under 1 Hour: Free
1-2 Hours: Y1.00
2-3 Hours: Y2.00
Above 3 Hours: Y3.00 per hour
